Hojicha is made by roasting tea like bancha, offering a comforting aroma that’s well-loved in Japan. At YUGEN, however, we’ve taken premium first-flush tea leaves and lightly roasted them to preserve not only the toasty fragrance but also the natural aroma and umami of the tea leaves.
By roasting the tea leaves more lightly than usual, we’ve brought out their inherent qualities, allowing you to enjoy both the rich, roasted aroma and the delicate essence of the tea itself.
