1974　Born in Tokyo, Japan, and spent over a decade living abroad in countries including Mexico, Peru, Spain, and the United Kingdom
1996　Graduated with a degree in Clinical Psychology
1997　Began training in glassblowing at studios across Japan
2001　Further training in Sweden
2002 onward　Continued work in glassmaking while refining his techniques and style


Now creating glassworks together with his wife, Hashimura is best known for his “CRACK” series, which incorporates crackle patterns formed by rapid cooling—a technique known as ice crack. The result is a shimmering surface that plays with light, casting intricate reflections and shadows.

Frosted glass adds a different depth and allure compared to clear glass, subtly enhancing the colors of drinks and the mood of the table. Combining softness with a quiet strength, his handcrafted pieces bring an understated elegance to everyday life.
