Self-taught in ceramics while working as a company employee, Inoue became an independent ceramic artist in 2016 and now works from his home studio in Aichi Prefecture.

He values the unique character of the land and uses only gen-do—raw, unrefined clay dug directly from the ground without removing natural inclusions such as sand. This brings a gentle warmth to each piece, with no two ever the same.

Blending rustic charm with everyday practicality, his works are made to be used and enjoyed daily, becoming familiar companions at the table over time.
