2009 - Moved to Makino Town, Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture, and dedicated himself to ceramic art
Kotani’s studio is located near the famous metasequoia-lined avenue of Makino Highlands.
He creates warm, expressive works using a variety of techniques, including black glaze (kokusai), white glaze (hakuyu), and kohiki (a traditional slipware technique).
